Function
For the electrical separation of adjacent contact line sections. Thanks to the neutral section, and taking into account the max. width of the pantograph head, the two sectors are never connected. Traction current is supplied from the substation with higher feeding voltage via opposing diodes, but also in the vicinity of the neutral section.
